Flintridge Family Chiropractic partners with yoga studios in and around Eagle Rock to run short, practical wellness workshops. This page explains what we offer, how the format works, and how to set one up. Our office sits about 15 minutes from Colorado Boulevard, Figueroa Street, and the 134 corridor at 4522 Rinetti Lane, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011.

The short answer

We bring a 15-minute mobility and recovery workshop added to the end of an existing class — free to the host, with equipment provided. Typical content covers breath mechanics, hip and thoracic mobility, wrist care, and safe loading for common poses. To schedule, call (818) 791-4466 or reach us through our contact page.

Why the short format works

Standalone evening workshops are hard to fill. Adding fifteen minutes to the end of a class or team meeting that people already attend means no extra commitment, better attendance, and a much friendlier experience for the host. The instructor or manager introduces the doctor, tools are handed out while everyone is still together, and the session flows directly out of what people were already doing.

We keep it hands-on. Participants use foam rollers, release balls, or resistance bands during the session and take the tool home. The takeaway is a habit they can repeat, not a brochure.

What we cover

Sessions are built around the group in the room. Common themes include breath mechanics, hip and thoracic mobility, wrist care, and safe loading for common poses. For athletic groups we lean toward warm-up, activation, and recovery. For workplace groups we lean toward posture, workstation setup, and simple movement breaks that fit a real workday.

The doctors teach the same material they use with patients: how tissue responds to load, why symptoms often reflect a change in demand rather than damage, and which sensations are worth acting on. It is education, not a sales pitch.

Who leads the sessions

Workshops are led by our doctors, whose backgrounds include work with professional and national-team athletes alongside two decades of family practice. That mix means the material lands for a competitive lifter and for someone who mostly sits at a desk.

A typical fifteen minutes

The doctor arrives before the class or meeting ends and is introduced by the instructor or manager. Tools are handed out immediately so nobody has to reassemble the group. Two or three minutes explain the why in plain language. Eight to ten minutes are spent doing the movements together, with corrections given individually as the doctor moves through the room. The last couple of minutes cover how often to repeat it and what a warning sign looks like.

People leave with a tool in hand and one thing to do. That is deliberate. A single repeatable habit outperforms a long list nobody remembers by the weekend.

What hosts get out of it

For studios and gyms, it is added value for members at no cost, a reason for a reminder email, and a partner who can look at a nagging member complaint without pressure. For employers, it is a low-effort wellness touchpoint that fits an existing meeting, and it pairs naturally with HSA and FSA benefits that many teams under-use.

There is no product pitch, no sign-up sheet passed around, and no requirement that anyone become a patient. Hosts who have been burned by sales-driven wellness visits usually notice the difference within the first few minutes.

Topics we can tailor

  • Mobility and warm-up for a specific sport or class format.
  • Recovery and soft-tissue work between hard sessions.
  • Desk ergonomics and workstation setup.
  • Neck, shoulder and low back tension for screen-heavy roles.
  • Movement breaks that fit a real workday.
  • Sleep, stress and simple nutrition habits as part of whole-person wellness.

Frequency and follow-up

Many partners start with one session and repeat quarterly, rotating topics so returning members get something new. Others build it into a seasonal wellness week or a member appreciation event. We are happy to start with a single visit and let the response decide the rest.

What the host needs to provide

Very little. A time slot at the end of a class or meeting, a quick introduction, and floor or table space. We bring the equipment and handouts. Group sizes from eight to sixty work well; larger groups just need a room where everyone can hear.

Setting one up near Eagle Rock

If you run a studio, gym, clinic, HR team, or office in Eagle Rock, we would like to meet in person first, understand your schedule, and pick a class or meeting that fits. Employers with HSA or FSA benefits and existing wellness programs often find these talks slot neatly into what they already run.

Call (818) 791-4466 or use our contact page to start a conversation. You can also read about our athletic and sports care and our general chiropractic services to see how the workshops connect to what we do in the office.
