Your first appointment at Flintridge Family Chiropractic is unhurried, thorough, and focused on one thing: understanding what is causing your discomfort and building a clear plan to fix it. We know that walking into a new clinic can feel overwhelming, especially when you're already dealing with pain. That's why we've designed our new patient process to feel calm, welcoming, and informative from the moment you arrive.

You'll start with a private consultation with one of our doctors — Dr. Shahbazian or Dr. Zimmerman — where we'll listen to your story, your symptoms, your previous care, and your goals. We don't rush this conversation. Many patients tell us it's the first time a healthcare provider has actually taken the time to hear what's been going on.

Next we'll perform a comprehensive physical exam: posture, range of motion, neurological screening, orthopedic testing, and palpation of the spine and surrounding muscles. If imaging is needed, we'll either review what you've brought or refer you to a trusted local imaging center. After the exam, your doctor will sit down with you, explain what we found in plain language, and walk through a personalized treatment plan with realistic timelines and expectations.

Most new patients receive their first adjustment on the same visit. Adjustments are gentle, precise, and tailored to your body — there's no "one-size-fits-all" technique here. From the very first session, you'll begin to feel the difference of being treated as a whole person, not a chart number.
